This week see the start of a couple of end of season events, kicking off with the Ebouelle Contest, which runs from 20th to 24th March. The contest sees a mix of ski and snowboard freestyle competitions, music and art take to the slopes and the village centre. If you’re in Les Gets this week, this is definitely something to check out, especially if the sun keeps shining!

Look out for the "Road Gap" – where the contestants bomb down the slopes to the centre of the village, through the arch by the tourist office, up a ramp and leap the road, landing in the square by the ice rink!! Pretty spectacular viewing.
Following on from this contest is the “Rock the Pistes” festival, which is a music festival that takes place over the whole Portes du Soleil ski area, with groups performing in different resorts each day of the week. The festival kicks off in Les Gets on Saturday 24th March, with a free concert at 1.30 PM at the plateau at the top of the Les Folliets chair lift, with French artist Louis Bertignac taking to the stage. There is also whole selection of après ski music throughout the week in the village.
