Conditions are just awesome just now in Les Gets and the Portes du Soleil

Long may this snow continue.

Fresh snow means fresh bookings

The UK based staff at the Hotel Christiania UK booking office did not need to check the webcams to know that it had been snowing in Les Gets on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning as the phones were ringing all day yesterday.

We guess that a lot of people use the Webcam page on our website and after yesterday fall of snow a lot of the rooms for Easter are now already booked. If your thinking of a family ski trip at Easter book now before it's too late.

Portes su Soleil weather update

It has been hot and sunny all week in the Portes du Soleil and as a result we have lost twenty centimetres of snow at 1800m. Don't worry though we still have over 200cm and there is some more on the way.
The sun is shining, the pistes are quiet and there are no queues for the lifts. On top of that we have a banked slalom competition this Sunday and half pipe comp on 24th as well as the Basscamp festival to look forward to.

Weather update

At the Hotel Christiania we know some of you are a bit unsure of spring skiing in the Portes du Soliel but this video weather report from Avoriaz last Friday shows conditions are good and with less than 4 weeks to go in the season conditions will remain good for the rest of the season.
