Abseiling from the Ranfoilly ski lift

If you have ever wondered what would happen if your ski lift broke down mid way to the top of a run this video taken on Tuesday from the Ranfoilly ski lift shows how they get you of the lift and back skiing

The lift may be out of action for the rest of the season but with lots of snow and other lifts in the area you can still ski the Ranfoilly bowl.

We have been asked to pass on this message by the tourist office.

The chair-lift of Ranfoilly broke down this morning to 10:00. An evacuation by cable is in hand. The chair-lift should be closed at least for the day. We will keep you informed when it is again functional.
